Our hope is to provide a link between parents, faculty, students, and the community to promote unity and pride in SCPA. We will seek every opportunity to financially support the school by grant-writing, institutional giving, fundraising, and volunteerism to encourage the success of the school. Through the involvement of parents, students, teachers, alumni, and the San Diego community, we will create an organization that will continue to serve future students.

This year Friends would like to increase our membership (we hope you will join!), establish a grant writing committee to pursue outside funding, and engage student and parents groups to work together for the enhancement of the SCPA community.

• Gave organizational planners to all Middle School students
• Provided the Welcome Back Breakfast for Teachers and Staff
• Gave various school department grants totaling almost $7,000 through our membership campaign
• Bought drums for the instrumental music program
• Helped fund the Writers Workshop publication
• Gave K-ARTS a grant for a new monitor
• Provided volunteers for all performances
• Sent college guides to all incoming Seniors
• Provided teacher appreciation funds
• Provided the WASC reception
• Sent out emails to parents to help keep them informed of school activities
• Assisted the office and counseling staff
• Provided lunch time supervision

1. Go to the Friends of SCPA online signup!
2. If you already have a Yahoo user ID, go to Step 5.

4. Fill in all the required information. Watch out at the email address section! It defaults to create and use a Yahoo address. If you don't want this, uncheck the box and add the address you want to use.

Our annual season includes thirteen performances of drama, musicals, orchestral and choral music, dance, and comedy productions. Attendees include students, families, and the San Diego community. Programs are provided for each ticket holder, honoring the quality of work performed by students and staff, becoming valued keepsakes. Season circulation is approximately 10,000 copies.
