Sara Ramirez is an alumni of the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts. She atteneded from 4th - 12th grade and graduated in 1993. After graduating from SCPA she attended the Julliard School in New York City, where she refined her skills as an actress. She went on to win the 2005 Tony Award for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical for her role as The Lady in the Lake in Mony Python's Spamalot, and is a member of the cast of Grey's Anatomy.
